The authors stress the strong links between different sectors, such as agriculture, water, energy, and the environment, and the importance of recognizing the interactions and feedback among natural boundaries and among SDGs, as well as between natural boundaries and SDGs. While encouraging the use of top-down models, the authors also caution that a bottom-up and context-specific approach to the SDGs is necessary to ensure context appropriateness of interventions and policy.
